Mary Herbert
Regional Director, West Texas

Mary Herbert is the West Texas Regional Director for the Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty. She oversees BCHP's work with Child Nutrition Programs and Hunger Free Communities in 23 counties of West Texas. Before joining BCHP, Mary spent three years teaching high school English and eighteen years as a community volunteer before embarking on a career in nonprofit management. She was the Executive Director of the San Angelo Schools Foundation, Caregiver Program Manager for the Area Agency on Aging, the Special Projects Coordinator for RSVP, and Program Manager for Helping Hands. Mary earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Speech from Baylor University and holds a Teaching Certificate for Secondary Education from the State of Texas.
