Dr. Tammy Leonard specializes in interdisciplinary applications of public, urban and behavioral economics along with advanced spatial and econometric analysis methods. Dr. Leonard has over 30 academic peer-reviewed publications related to her expertise in housing economics and a variety of outcomes relevant to low-income populations including food security, program participation, health, and financial well-being measures. Dr. Leonard is assistant director of the Economics Research Group at the University of North Texas and co-director of the Community Assistant Research (CARE) initiative, both of which seek to leverage interdisciplinary relationships between academic researchers and community stakeholders with a focus on economic and community development.
