What is the Hunger Free Community Accelerator?
The Hunger Free Community Accelerator provides a platform for sharing knowledge and best practices, facilitates connection and relationships, and builds collective power and increased capacity for coalitions as they act to transform the way their communities address food insecurity.
Hunger Free Community Coalitions
Since 2013, the Baylor Collaborative's Hunger Free Community Accelerator has built local coalitions working to end hunger in communities across Texas. These coalitions are made up of leaders and organizations who understand the value and impact collaborative action can have in their communities, and who are taking steps to address food insecurity. Uniting behind a common vision and strategy for collective action, they understand what the coalition can do together far exceeds what any of them can do alone.

Our approach is responsive to the uniqueness and diversity of each community, adapting and integrating our expertise as we work alongside community leaders. We envision a network where coalition leaders and members can connect and learn from one another, access best practices and resources, and find inspiration to act through a shared purpose. The Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty's Network of Hunger Free Community Coalitions will help coalitions develop and strengthen sustainability and collective action to maximize impact on food insecurity in the community.
