A VISTA (Volunteer in Service to America) is a full-time AmeriCorps member dedicated to combating poverty by building the capacity of non-profit organizations and public agencies.
Our VISTA program focuses on finding hunger solutions through a community-based model, where VISTAs tailor strategies to address hunger based on the specific needs of the communities they serve.
Who Can be a VISTA?
The VISTA program is ideal for recent college graduates, retirees, and mid-career professionals looking to devote a year of their lives in volunteer service to their communities.
Benefits
AmeriCorps provides a living allowance and an education award, or cash stipend, upon completing service. Members gain valuable experience and leadership skills while making a lasting impact on communities in need.
