Kelly Ylitalo, Ph.D.

Dr. Kelly Ylitalo is an epidemiologist and associate professor in the Department of Public Health at Baylor University. She holds a Ph.D. in Epidemiological Science from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Her research interests include physical functioning trajectories during the mid-life and older adult years, and how behaviors like physical activity throughout the life course can facilitate healthy aging trajectories. Dr. Ylitalo uses both quantitative statistical methods and implementation science in collaboration with national and local partners to evaluate and understand the health of individuals and their communities. She is currently funded by the National Institutes of Health.
